DTOS is looking for a Senior – Client Accounting who will be responsible for managing complex client accounts, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of financial statements, reconciliations, and client reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, review, and oversee reconciliations for multiple or complex client accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Verify all client transactions, allocations, and journal entries.
- Monitor cash and investment movements and investigate discrepancies.
- Ensure all entries comply with accounting standards (IFRS) and internal policies.
- Prepare and review client statements, periodic reports, and fund financial statements.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting packages for clients and management.
- Perform variance analysis and provide explanations for deviations.
- Assist in internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and client agreements.
- Highlight potential risks or discrepancies to management for review and resolution.
- Provide guidance, mentoring, and support to junior client accounting staff.
- Review work performed by junior colleagues to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Share best practices and support professional development within the team.
- Serve as a point of contact for escalated client queries related to account reconciliations or reporting.
- Liaise with custodians, fund administrators, auditors, and internal teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.
- Identify operational inefficiencies and suggest improvements to accounting processes.
- Support system enhancements and automation initiatives to improve accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and internal documentation.
- Assist in special projects, such as new client onboarding or system implementation.
- Support the team in achieving departmental KPIs and objectives.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; ACCA, CPA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience in client accounting or related roles.
- Strong understanding of investment fund operations, reconciliations, and accounting principles.
- Knowledge of IFRS, regulatory reporting, and fund structures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with clients and stakeholders.
- Ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software systems.
