Job Description
As part of the Accounting Team, you will be lead the Accounting Department and Team and your main responsibilities will be as below:
- Make all necessary entries and recording in Excel
- Prepare, examine and analyse accounting records, financial entries, documents and reports to assess accuracy and correct errors and inconsistencies
- Prepare bank reconciliation for client accounts on a daily basis
- Prepare monthly management accounts
- Verify daily bank transactions
- Prepare VAT, TDS, PAYE, NPF, APS, and CTX returns and monitor accuracy of information
- Maintain the Company’s asset register and depreciation schedule.
- Prepare payment vouchers, bank transfer instructions, cash and cheque payments,
- Prepare and send invoices and receipts of payment
- Manage petty cash
- Closely monitor accruals and prepayments
- Manage and follow up on debtors
- Work with external auditors
- Any other cognate duties
Profile:
- Between 5 to 8 years of experience as an in-house Accountant/Accounting Officer;
- ACA/ACCA Qualification;
- Strong academic results (including SC/HSC);
- Very strong bookkeeping and Excel skills;
- Excellent communication skills in English and French, both written and spoken;
- High attention to detail;
- Outgoing personality and team player.
