MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure cleanliness, ambience, service readiness, staff grooming and hospitality culture.
- Monitoring attendance and time off.
- Assigning duties to specific employees based on role and skills.
- Supervising employees and assisting with tasks as and when necessary.
- Conducting performance reviews and sharing feedback with both upper management and team members.
- Responsible for making sure a well-trained security staff is always on duty and responsible for the proper execution of assigned duties.
- Ensuring that every aspect and detail of the shift runs smoothly, checking equipment, replacing broken parts, etc.
- Oversee the staffing, scheduling and on-site training of security guard assigned to different shifts.
- Provide information on personal activity, access card control and activity, as well as other security and safety related.
- Performs leadership, management and organization tasks to ensure team members’ work.
- Lead a team of security guards and lifeguard and maintain discipline and ensure they perform their duty as per SOP and as per details of duties.
- Intervene on the problem of door locks and safes. Take lock and safe reading, monitoring camera and remove footage in case of incident.
- In the absence of the Security Manager, the Security Supervisor also performs the following duties:
- Attend management meeting.
- Replying and sending mails.
- Give access to new operators on Onity Systems for doing, updating, and re-validating keys.
- Develop safety and security policies and coordinates safety activities.
- Assess physical security and safety risks.
- Investigate security breaches or occurrences and produce timely and concise reports.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.
- Any other cognate duties may be assigned.
CRITERIA
- Proven experience as a Security Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle high-pressure situations with composure.
- Thorough understanding of security protocols and best practices.
- Experience with security equipment and technology.
- Ability to conduct security audits and risk assessments.
- Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to security.
- Ability to train and supervise security staff.
- Proficiency in using security systems and software.
- Fluency in English and French; knowledge of other languages is a plus.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel and Word.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays.
