RESPONSIBILITIES
To perform protection and enforcement functions rapidly and courteously, coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances and threats to life and property, to maintain a safe and secure hotel environment
Customer Service
- Escorts guests, visitors and employees to parking lots when requested.
- Assists guests with door lock problems.
Team Management
- Provides regular feedback to Team Members on their performance.
- Organises regular briefings and monthly meetings with Team Members to share information and handle any working issues.
Material Handling & Inventory
- Checks the good functioning of fire alarm, life safety and security systems as required.
- Verifies regularly the fire sprinkler and emergency power systems.
- Verifies perfect Walkie-Talkie transmission between control room/switchboard and all security officers during hours of duty.
- Observes the CCTV monitors for any unusual activity, and in the case of suspicious behaviour or alarming situations, reports directly (via radio) to superiors.
Communication
- Attends and participates in various meetings affecting the Security Department.
- Liaises with the hotel’s taxis for services provided to guests and Team Members.
Health & Safety Prevention
- Participates in Preparedness Training, Fire and Evacuation Drills.
- Attends emergencies in a security capacity to protect guests and team members.
- Takes appropriate steps to preserve the hotel and its systems during the emergency, and to return the hotel to its normal operating status as quickly as possible, as instructed by the Chief Security Officer.
