Key Responsibilities:

Monitoring and Surveillance

• Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect suspicious activity
• Conduct regular patrols of premises on foot or in vehicles
• Inspect buildings, equipment, and access points to ensure security
• Watch for signs of crime, disorder, or safety hazards

Access Control

• Control access to facilities by verifying identification and credentials
• Sign visitors in and out, issue visitor badges
• Lock and unlock doors, gates, and other entry points
• Maintain logs of all persons entering and leaving the premises

Emergency Response

• Respond quickly to alarms, disturbances, and emergency situations
• Provide assistance during emergencies such as fires, medical incidents, or natural disasters
• Contact police, fire department, or emergency medical services when needed
• Prepare detailed incident reports documenting all security events

Safety and Prevention

• Enforce property rules and regulations
• Deter criminal activity and rule violations through visible presence
• Identify and report safety hazards or maintenance issues
• Assist employees, visitors, and customers as needed

Required Qualifications:

• School Certificate or equivalent
• Clean criminal background check
• Strong observation and communication skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous security or law enforcement experience
• First aid/CPR certification
• Familiarity with security equipment and technology

Work Environment:

• May work days, nights, weekends, or holidays
• Indoor and outdoor work in various weather conditions
• May require standing or walking for long periods
