Our client in the hospitality sector is seeking an experienced and visionary Sales and Marketing Manager to drive strategic initiatives that elevate the 5-star small luxury Resort & Wellness brand.
This role encompasses three primary focus areas - marketing, sales, and revenue growth. The incumbent will play a key leadership
role in enhancing brand visibility, strengthening client relationships, and maximizing profitability across all revenue streams.
Marketing Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans to position the resort as a premier luxury destination.
- Oversee the development and protection of the resort’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all platforms and touchpoints.
- Design and execute integrated marketing campaigns across digital, print, and social media channels, from concept to performance analysis.
- Implement strategies to enhance brand visibility and recognition among high-end, discerning clientele.
- Lead the creation of high-quality marketing collateral, including brochures, presentations, and website content.
- Conduct market research to identify trends, target audiences, and guest preferences to inform marketing strategy and product positioning.
- Develop and manage relationships with public relations agencies and media outlets to secure positive coverage, press trips, and editorial placements.
- Create and implement customer relationship management (CRM) strategies to build guest loyalty and drive repeat business.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant marketing regulations and industry standards.
- Represent the resort at industry events, workshops, and networking functions to enhance brand visibility.
- Oversee the implementation and performance of loyalty programs tailored to returning guests.
Sales Responsibilities:
- Lead the execution of sales strategies to drive bookings and expand market share across all segments (leisure, corporate, group, etc.).
- Conduct local and international sales calls, and attend trade fairs to build business relationships and generate leads.
- Forge and maintain strong partnerships with travel agencies, corporate clients, tour operators, and luxury travel consortia.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of distribution channels (e.g., OTAs, tour operators, general sales agents), providing support and strategic direction as needed.
- Develop and implement an annual sales action plan, aligned with business goals and market demands.
- Represent the resort in a professional and compelling manner to secure high-value bookings and long-term contracts.
- Collaborate with internal teams (Front Office, Reservations, Spa, etc.) to ensure smooth guest journeys from inquiry to stay.
- Prepare and deliver regular sales reports and market activity summaries to senior leadership.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to achieve and surpass departmental KPIs.
Revenue & Profitability Responsibilities:
- Maximize revenue opportunities across all departments.
- Collaborate closely with the Revenue Management team to optimize pricing strategies, set room rates, and ensure effective inventory allocation.
- Analyze market and competitor trends to inform dynamic pricing and identify new business opportunities.
- Set tactical offers and seasonal promotions based on market intelligence and demand forecasts.
- Monitor, track, and evaluate the performance of all marketing and sales initiatives, using data to refine strategies and improve ROI.
- Develop the annual sales and marketing budget, ensuring strategic allocation of financial resources for maximum return.
- Ensure cost-effective use of marketing and distribution channels while maintaining brand integrity and service quality.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field. Specialization in Luxury Brand Management is a plus.
- Minimum of 8 years' relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a managerial position and a minimum of 4 years in the hotel sector.
- Luxury hospitality experience preferred.
