ABC Automobile is currently seeking an experienced, proactive, and dynamic Safety and Health Officer who will be responsible for conducting risk assessments, driving safety initiatives, and fostering a safe and healthy working environment across its operations.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct workplace inspections and take necessary actions to ensure compliance with OSHA 2005 and its regulations.
- Ensure the effective implementation and monitoring of preventive and corrective safety measures.
- Investigate occupational accidents, incidents, and emergencies, and recommend corrective actions.
- Lead safety and health initiatives to promote safe working practices and a strong safety culture.
- Review safety procedures, protocols, and practices at regular intervals to ensure effectiveness and compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and safety audits to identify, evaluate, and mitigate occupational hazards.
- Assist in the coordination of Safety and Health Committees and act as a technical advisor.
- Identify hazards and assess the need for preventive measures to safeguard employees and any other persons present on site.
- Design and deliver safety training programmes in line with regulatory requirements and maintain proper training records.
- Address safety concerns and complaints, and support management in implementing appropriate corrective actions.

Other Requisites
- Good knowledge of the Occupational Safety & Health Act 2005
- Strong communication, persuasion, and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Good presentation and training delivery skills
- Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability
- High level of motivation, commitment, and attention to detail

Minimum Qualifications
- Degree in Occupational Safety and Health Management
Minimum Experience
- 1–4 years of relevant experience in Occupational Safety and Health
