We are seeking a Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair heavy equipment. The role involves troubleshooting technical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and delivering reliable after-sales support.

Department: Technical / Service
Reports To: Service Manager

Job Summary

The Service Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance and customer satisfaction. The role involves providing on-site & off-site technical support and supervision, diagnosing faults, and delivering timely and effective service in accordance with company standards and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, commission, and maintain equipment and systems at customer sites
  • Diagnose technical faults and carry out repairs efficiently
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance and service inspections
  • Respond to service calls and breakdowns within agreed service levels
  • Prepare accurate service reports and documentation after each job
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers and internal teams
  • Maintain service tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards
  • Escalate complex technical issues to senior engineers or management when required

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Diploma or degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics)
  • Proven experience as a Service Engineer or similar technical role
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and service software
  • Valid driving licence and willingness to travel when required
