We are looking for a dynamic SEO Assistant to join our Communication Department based at our Head Office in Mapou.
Overview of the role:
The SEO Assistant will gain hands-on experience across all areas of SEO, from content optimisation to technical checks, while helping to keep projects running smoothly and will support our SEO Specialist and wider communication team.
-This is a junior role, ideal for someone eager to build a career in SEO and Digital Marketing.
Main Responsibilities:
- Support the SEO Specialist with day-to-day optimisation tasks
- Update and maintain meta titles, descriptions, headings, and internal links across the site
- Assist with keyword research and help optimise blog posts, landing pages, and product pages
- Run regular site checks (e.g., broken links, crawl errors, duplicate content) and flag issues
- Help monitor performance metrics such as rankings, traffic, and conversions, preparing reports for the wider team
- Optimisation of landing pages and blog articles to maximise search visibility
- Contribute to link-building and outreach activities to grow site authority
- Assist in managing and optimising our Google Business Profiles to strengthen local visibility
- Keep up to date with SEO trends and share ideas on how we can adapt to changes in search and AI-driven platforms
Candidate's Profile:
- A proactive, motivated attitude with a desire to learn, adapt, and grow into a future SEO Specialist role
- Degree in digital marketing, communications, computer science, or a related discipline
- Minimum 1 year of practical SEO experience, ideally in an in-house or agency environment
- Familiarity with SEO tools such as Google Search Console, GA4, Page Speed Insights, SEMrush, or Ahrefs
- Understanding of core SEO principles: how search engines crawl and index content, the importance of site structure, and how links impact visibility
- Curiosity about how AI is shaping search (Google AI Overviews, Bing Copilot, etc.) and an eagerness to explore these developments
- Exposure to HTML, CSS, or JavaScript (enough to understand and troubleshoot simple SEO issues)
- Experience using CMS platforms like WordPress, Drupal, or similar
- Strong attention to detail, with the ability to spot issues and follow through with clear recommendations
- Good written and verbal communication skills, comfortable working with both technical and non-technical team members
