The Sales and Marketing Officer is responsible for driving sales growth and supporting the implementation of marketing strategies for STR Marketing’s product portfolio, including HDPE, PCV pipes, fittings, and related infrastructure solutions within Mauritius.

 

  • Sales:

    ·       Develop and maintain strong relationships with local contractors, hardware stores, and other key clients.

    ·   Prepare and deliver sales presentations and product information to clients.

    ·      Follow up on quotations, negotiate pricing, and close deals to achieve sales targets.

    · Conduct regular market visits to monitor customer needs and competitor activity.

    · Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and prepare weekly sales activity reports.

     

    Marketing:

    ·    Support the development and execution of local marketing campaigns and promotions.

    ·     Assist in preparing marketing materials such as brochures, product datasheets, and presentations.

    ·   Participate in local trade shows, exhibitions, and customer events to promote STR products.

    · Monitor and analyse the performance of marketing efforts and propose improvements.

     

    Administrative & Reporting:

    · Provide timely feedback on customer requirements and market trends to management.

    ·      Ensure proper coordination with internal teams for smooth order processing and delivery.

    ·  Prepare and submit visit reports and sales forecasts regularly. 

    Key Objectives (KPIs):

    Sales Performance:

    ·    Achieve monthly and annual sales targets in line with STR’s business plan for the local market.

    Customer Relationships:

    ·       Maintain high customer satisfaction levels and retain existing accounts.

    ·    Develop at least 10-20 new active customers annually in Mauritius.

    Market Insights:

    · Provide quarterly competitor and market analysis reports with actionable recommendations.

    Marketing Contribution:

    ·  Successfully coordinate 2–3 local marketing campaigns or events annually.

    Operational Efficiency:

    ·     Ensure 100% compliance with sales reporting and administrative tasks.

    ·      Any other cognate duties as may be assigned to you by the management.

  • Requirements

    • Holder of degree in Sales, Marketing, Management, or equivalent
    • Excellent verbal and written communication in French and English language
    • Well conversant with Microsoft Office
    • Previous working experience in digital marketing, product marketing, communication and/or product management, marketing campaigns that engage target audiences
    • Holder of a car and driving license
