Sales Manager develops and implements strategies to increase hotel revenue and occupancy by managing the sales team, building client relationships, conducting market research, and collaborating with other departments

 

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Assistant Director of Sales in driving revenue growth across all resort segment, including rooms, F&B and Spa
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including corporate accounts, travel agents, and event planners, to secure repeat business and foster loyalty.
  • Must have experience in MICE and drive more MICE business to the hotel (this will be a very important part of this role)
  • Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities in both domestic and international markets to increase the resort’s market share.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends, evaluate competitor activities, and develop appropriate pricing strategies and offers.
  • Track sales performance and KPIs to assess progress toward targets, analyse results, and adjust strategies as needed to meet objectives.
  • Oversee and optimize the performance of all distribution channels, including OTAs, tour operators, GSAs, and other key partners.
  • Collaborate with the reservation, revenue and operations teams to align on campaigns, pricing and brand messaging.
  • Generate detailed sales reports that track performance, market conditions, and provide valuable insights to senior management.
  • Attract new clients while ensuring high levels of service to retain existing ones and represent the resort at trade fairs and industry events, both locally and internationally.
  • Lead negotiations for corporate deals, group bookings and special events to maximize revenue while aligning with the resort’s financial objectives.
  • Monitor feedback from clients and guests, ensuring the resort consistently exceeds expectations and continues to drive positive business growth.
Profile
  • A dynamic and personable individual with a friendly and outgoing demeanor.
  • Minimum 3 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role within the luxury hospitality sector, specifically in sales for high-end resorts or hotels.
  • Bachelor's degree/ Masters in Sales and Hospitality Management, or a related field recommended.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and sustain long-  term relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Proficient in CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and hotel sales tools (Good understanding of Sales force)
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple priorities under pressure.
  • An analytical mindset, with the ability to evaluate market trends and make data-driven decisions.
  • Fluent in English and French, and an additional language would be a plus.
  • Highly motivated, results-oriented, and proactive in addressing challenges.
  • Strong leadership abilities, with a talent for inspiring and motivating the sales team to meet and exceed their targets.
  • Attention to detail, with a strong customer-centric approach.
  • Strong networking and time management skills, with the ability to organize and prioritize tasks  efficiently.
  • A valid driving license is required, as the role involves travel for sales and client meetings.
