Core Responsibilities: Cleans Room as per the hotel's standards; Set up room with amenities as per the hotel's standards; Assists in the inventory of hotel amenities. Diligence in prevention of wastage

 

Department: Housekeeping

Reports to: Floor Supervisor / Executive Housekeeper

Job Purpose

To ensure guest rooms and assigned public areas are cleaned, maintained, and presented according to LSH standards, providing a comfortable, hygienic, and welcoming environment for all guests.


 

Room Cleaning & Maintenance

  • Clean and service guest rooms daily according to established housekeeping standards.

  • Change bed linens, make beds, and replace used towels and amenities.

  • Dust, vacuum, mop floors, and sanitize bathrooms thoroughly.

  • Ensure minibar items, guest supplies, and amenities are replenished.

  • Report any maintenance issues, damages, or missing items promptly to the supervisor.

Guest Service

  • Respond politely and professionally to guest requests.

  • Respect guest privacy and confidentiality at all times.

  • Follow “Do Not Disturb” and guest preference procedures accurately.

Public Areas (if assigned)

  • Clean and maintain corridors, service areas, staircases, and back-of-house areas as required.

  • Ensure cleanliness and safety standards are maintained throughout the shift.

Health, Safety & Hygiene

  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene procedures, including proper use of cleaning chemicals.

  • Adhere strictly to food safety and hygiene policies where applicable.

  • Use housekeeping equipment and materials correctly and safely.

Operational Duties

  • Complete daily assignment sheets and room status updates accurately.

  • Ensure housekeeping trolleys are clean, organized, and fully stocked.

  • Comply with grooming, uniform, and attendance standards.


Qualifications & Skills

  • Previous experience as a Room Attendant in a hotel environment is an advantage.

  • Ability to work efficiently with attention to detail.

  • Good physical condition to perform cleaning duties.

  • Basic communication skills (English/French is an advantage).

  • Team-oriented with a positive and professional attitude.
