The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, hygiene, and overall presentation of guest rooms and assigned areas in line with hotel standards. The role ensures guests enjoy a comfortable, safe, and memorable stay through attention to detail, efficiency, and professionalism.
Clean guest rooms, suites, and balconies thoroughly and efficiently
Strip and make beds according to hotel presentation standards
Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, showers, bathtubs, mirrors, and sinks
Dust and polish furniture, fixtures, and fittings
Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors
Ensure curtains, lampshades, artwork, and remote controls are clean
Replenish guest amenities, stationery, minibar items, and room supplies
Ensure rooms are set up correctly for arrivals, stayovers, and departures
Greet guests politely and respond to requests promptly
Maintain guest privacy and confidentiality at all times
Handle guest belongings with care and report lost-and-found items immediately
Report guest complaints or special requests to the supervisor
Follow hotel hygiene, sanitation, and safety policies at all times
Use cleaning chemicals and equipment safely and correctly
Comply with infection control and occupational health standards
Identify and report hazards, damages, or maintenance issues
Adhere to fire safety and emergency procedures
Complete assigned rooms within the allocated time while maintaining quality
Maintain cleanliness of housekeeping trolleys, pantries, and storage areas
Record room status accurately and communicate with supervisors
Assist with deep cleaning projects and periodic cleaning schedules
Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and brand guidelines
