We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Purchasing Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring quality, cost-effective procurement.

Job Description

  • Source and evaluate suppliers, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships to ensure quality, cost-effective procurement.
  • Manage and follow up on purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery and accuracy of orders.
  • Liaise with the Store Department for tracking stock items, transfers, and inventory levels.
  • Maintain good relationships with suppliers, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to understand procurement needs and requirements.
  • Review and process purchase orders, track deliveries, and manage inventory levels.
  • Conduct market research, analyse supplier performance, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and procedures.

Candidate Profile

  • Degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or Logistics.
  • Proven experience in procurement or purchasing role, with a strong understanding of sourcing strategies and supplier management.
  • Proficiency in MS tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
  • Proficiency in procurement software (e.g., SAP, Oracle) would constitute an advantage.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and maintain confidentiality.
