Sustainability Officer

The incumbent will have to lead and provide support in the implementation of sustainability & inclusiveness (S&I) initiatives and events with particular attention to SDGs.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Act as internal consultant and provide advice to S&I in their respective sustainable development and ESG initiatives.
• Collect and compile information/data relating to S&I and provide regulars reports on same
• Help implement reporting tools and key performance indicators (KPIs) on S&I and monitor same.
• Ensure regular scanning of press and social media and that the online platforms and the terms of reference of the Sustainability and Inclusiveness Committee are regularly updated.
• Implement and monitor initiatives to reduce footprint.•Assist in the implementation of GRI reporting, Bcorp, TCFD (or any other reporting frameworks) including rating for attracting sustainable finance/funds and investors.
• Propose initiatives to foster diversity and inclusion in Velogic and its subsidiaries.
• Conduct carbon footprint assessment and produce disclosure reports to reduce the carbon footprint.
• Any other cognate duties.

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Diploma/Degree in Sustainability or Environment Management or Chemical Engineering
• 2-3 years of relevant working experience in a similar field would be a definite advantage
• Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures and strategies to promote environment management
• Computer literate (Excel, Word and PowerPoint).
• Good personality with excellent communication skills in both English and French.
• Should be creative, proactive, resourceful and demonstrate professionalism.
