Purchasing Executive

The Procurement Executive is responsible to ensure achievement of timely, cost effective procuring of defined products and services for the organization for a competitive advantage and the proper processing of assigned customer orders.

 

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Finalize purchase details of orders..
  • Proceed purchase orders and purchase requisitions for materials ordering
  • Review deliveries against the orders.
  • Ensure that all invoices are sent to accounts for payment.
  • Produce and maintain all reports.
  • coordinate  with other departments, particularly the ccounting, manufacturing and stock departments.
  • Ensure timely delivery of products to site.
  • Responsible to source, negotiate and purchase materials for both local and overseas vendors.
  • Evaluate vendor’s quotation to ensure that they are in line with the technical and commercial specifications required for the project.
  • Advise internal and external issues pertaining to purchasing Terms & Conditions
  • Daily operational purchasing needs such as planning, issuing and following up on Purchase Orders delivery and shipment schedules.
  • Resolve supply, quality, service and invoicing issues with vendors.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality standards, delivery time & best prices.
  • Ensure all the procurement criteria are met according to the organizational requirements and expectations.
  • Responsible for implementing internal procurement strategies to cater for high delivery and short lead time requirements.

Qualifications  and Experience:

  • A degree in procurement would be an advantage.
  • 10 years experience in procurement field, preferably in the construction sector

  • Attention to detail and close follow up with relevant stakeholders
  • Good negotiation skills
  • Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent English and French, oral and written communication skills.
  • Conversant with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills with suppliers and internal customers
