Production Supervisor

Production Supervisors ensure all manufacturing goes smoothly and efficiently by closely monitoring how employees organize their workflows. A Production Supervisor is integral in a fast-paced production environment.

Duties

1. Organise, Lead and Supervise all Production activities.
2. Provide all technical information and support guidance to all personnel.
3. Complete monitoring and follow up of sanitation, maintenance for all plant as per planning.
4. Abide to all Company policies set.
5. Maintain an excellent level of GMP and adhere to all Food Safety Standards.
6. Ensure all Health and Safety Standards are met.
7. Update and perform all Production entries on Navision daily /after every production.
8. Define needs for personnel and equipment to execute production planning.
9. Recruitment and Training of personnel to assure that they have required competency for the job.
10. Identify and find root cause to optimize production, reduce cost, and improve on Quality for continual improvement in the production processes.
11. Follow daily all objectives set, identify breakdowns, idle times and find solution, implement and measure effectiveness to improve performances.
12. Define and organize other resources such as forklift drivers, palletisers, sighters, cleaners and machine attendants.
13. Communicate production planning, objectives of the work in terms of Quality, Quantity, machine speed, output, cost and consumption to all staff.
14. Ensure that all materials are on site prior to any production.
15. Follow up all logistics for proper functioning of the production processes (forklift /transpallet)
16. Organize transport for shift personnel.
17. Be available and in contact at any time in case of any emergencies.
18. Authorize gate pass for production personnel movement in and out of factory
19. Ensure a sound working environment for all staff
20. Continuously communicate with responsible department, operators, maintenance, quality, staffs for the proper functioning of the department.
21. Inform Operations Manufacturing Manager on all activities and updates in the production department.
22. Any other cognate duty relating to the field of work.
