The role holds full accountability for category and product range strategy, including assortment governance, pricing architecture, supplier strategy and commercial performance, acting as transversa; leader across key finctions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Define, formalise, and own end-to-end category and assortment strategies aligned with Espace Maison’s positioning and growth objectives.
• Lead customer and market analysis to identify demand drivers, category dynamics, and differentiation opportunities.
• Exercise final decision-making authority over SKU listing, delisting, and lifecycle management.
• Define and govern pricing architecture, margin corridors, competitive positioning, and approve pricing adjustments.
• Lead supplier strategy, negotiations, and performance management, including exclusivity and private label initiatives.
• Drive product differentiation, innovation, and private label development in line with brand and margin objectives.
• Monitor and optimise commercial performance, stock efficiency, and profitability across categories.
• Act as a transversal leader across key functions, ensuring alignment between strategy, in-store execution, and customer communication.
• Lead and develop Category and Procurement teams, including capability development and succession planning.
• Contribute at Executive Committee level to strategic, commercial, and transformation discussions.
Candidate profile:
• Senior experience in category management, product management, buying, or procurement, ideally within retail or multi-category environments.
• Strong commercial acumen with a proven ability to balance availability, cost, margin, stock, and customer value.
• Demonstrated experience in supplier negotiation, pricing strategy, and commercial governance.
• Proven leadership of cross-functional initiatives and high-performing teams.
• Executive presence with strong analytical, decision-making, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience in retail, wholesale, FMCG, construction materials, or distribution is an advantage.
