OBJECTIVE
Our business headquartered in Cape Town, South Africa, focuses on mobile transacting and the development of digital applications, while specialising in integration into retailer’s point-of-sale’s.

We are looking for PHP developer with at least 2 years’ experience to join our web development team. You will primarily be responsible for creating PHP web sites that act as customer, administrative or reporting portals to our mobile solutions. For certain clients you will be responsible for creating mobi-sites and/or store based kiosks. You will gain significant experience in payments, loyalty, coupon and vouchers. You will be part of a team of Testers, Analysts, Developers and DevOps engineers who deliver remarkable solutions to our clients.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Software design
• Technical debt management of technology stack
• Software and database build
• Unit and integration testing
• Code review
• Software defect resolution
• Deployment package creation
• Problem and incident resolution (investigate, apply workarounds and fixes, resolve defects)
• Building a technical knowledgebase of solutions
• Ensures the client solution build, deployment and enhancements are delivered on time and to specification both within the initial release and in all subsequent releases.

REQUIREMENTS
1. Knowledge
• PHP Version V5.4+
• Laravel Framework V5.0+
• Restful web services
• XML / JSON
• mySQL (v5.7+)
• Linux / Ubuntu
• AWS
• Strong understanding of payments/loyalty/coupons/voucher processing
• Retail experience

2. Qualifications
• IT or related technical degree or
• Significant/ proven work experience in PHP development
