We're looking for an Outlet Chef to join us at Gin'Ja, our Pan-Asian restaurant at Heritage Le Telfair in Bel Ombre🍣🥢
Main Purpose of the Role:
Lead the kitchen operations at Gin’Ja, ensuring the delivery of high-quality Asian cuisine while managing a team of 5-6 members and maintaining efficiency, hygiene, and cost control in a 60-seat restaurant.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate the preparation of authentic Asian dishes, ensuring consistency and high standards.
- Manage and mentor a brigade of 5-6 kitchen staff, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
- Control kitchen inventory, minimize waste, and optimize cost management to align with budgetary goals.
- Ensure adherence to hygiene, safety regulations, and sustainability practices set by the hotel.
- Collaborate with the Executive Chef to plan menus, set pricing, and enhance the guest dining experience.
Candidate's Profile:
- Strong experience in Asian cuisine with in-depth knowledge of traditional and modern techniques.
- Proven leadership in managing a small kitchen team, ensuring smooth operations and team development.
- Ability to maintain high standards in food quality, kitchen hygiene, and cost control.
- Excellent organizational skills to manage a high-end 60-cover restaurant efficiently.
- Passion for delivering an exceptional culinary experience in a refined dining setting.
