We are looking for an Operations Manager F&B to join our team in Veranda Grand Baie!
Overview of the Role π
To assist the Hotel Manager by identifying operational issues and contributing to effective solutions that support overall hotel performance.
Key Responsibilities π
β’ Assist the Hotel Manager in overseeing daily hotel operations, maintaining brand standards, and driving profitability.
β’ Provide operational support and strategic guidance to department heads and the broader management team.
β’ Collaborate with the Hotel Manager to implement revenue, sales & marketing, guest satisfaction, and team engagement plans.
β’ Enhance guest satisfaction by improving service delivery through employee development and quality initiatives.
β’ Handle departmental guest complaints and ensure timely corrective actions are implemented.
β’ Contribute to the preparation of departmental budgets and ensure cost-effective operations.
β’ Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to exceed revenue and profit targets, particularly in F&B.
β’ Analyze hotel data and operational statistics to identify improvement opportunities and implement changes accordingly.
β’ Support menu development and F&B merchandising in collaboration with the Executive Chef and F&B team.
β’ Assist department heads in achieving financial goals and maintaining high standards in service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
β’ Develop and implement operational tools including budgets, forecasts, purchasing specs, and SOPs.
β’ Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and local regulatory requirements.
β’ Lead daily and weekly operations meetings with HODs to review performance, guest feedback, and staff matters.
β’ Ensure SOPs are implemented across all departments and conduct regular operational audits.
β’ Conduct random inspections of stores and F&B areas to monitor inventory quality, stock levels, and expiry management.
β’ Monitor overhead and operational costs to optimize financial performance.
β’ Identify staff training needs and support ongoing development initiatives.
β’ Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
β’ Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile π―
β’ Holds a degree in Hotel Management or equivalent from a recognized institution, with strong knowledge of Food & Beverage and Quality Management.
β’ Minimum of 5 yearsβ experience in a hotel management role, specifically overseeing the F&B department in 3- or 4-star resorts.
