Overall Purpose
To lead and manage day-to-day operations across all sites, ensuring the effective functioning of warehousing, logistics, garage, and refrigeration departments. The Operations Manager is responsible for delivering cost-efficient, high-performance operations while driving continuous improvement, optimizing resources, ensuring compliance, and developing teams to achieve business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across all sites and departments: warehousing, logistics, garage, and refrigeration.
- Ensure smooth coordination between departments for timely and accurate execution of operational plans.
- Monitor KPIs across functions to ensure high service levels and operational excellence.
Team & Resource Management
- Lead, develop, and manage site managers, department heads, and operational staff.
- Hire, onboard, and train team members to build a high-performing workforce.
- Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement.
- Ensure optimal manpower planning based on business needs and operational demands.
Efficiency & Cost Control
- Ensure efficient utilization of vehicles, equipment, manpower, and space across all operations.
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising service quality.
- Develop and manage operational budgets, track expenditures, and control variances.
Improvement Projects
- Drive and implement operational improvement and automation projects.
- Standardize processes across all sites and departments to improve consistency and productivity.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to enhance operational reliability and responsiveness.
Compliance & Safety
- Ensure adherence to company policies, food safety standards (e.g. HACCP), and health and safety regulations.
- Conduct audits and reviews to maintain compliance and promote operational discipline.
- Monitor and improve housekeeping and workplace organization (5S) across all sites.
Communication & Reporting
- Provide regular performance and operational updates to senior management.
- Ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.
- Maintain visibility of operational risks and escalate major issues with mitigation plans.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 7–10 years’ experience in a similar operational leadership role, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or distribution.
- Proven experience managing multi-site operations and cross-functional teams.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing, logistics, maintenance (garage), and refrigeration.
- Experience in managing budgets, cost control, and performance KPIs.
