Alteo Energy Ltd is looking for an enthusiastic person with interpersonal skills for the above-mentioned opportunity at Union Flacq. The candidate will report to the Power Plant Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
The candidate will take charge of assistants on day and night shifts, will supervise operations and maintenance of the power station. The candidate will have to remain on call 24 hours and work on Sundays when required. The candidate will have to plan and organise scheduled outages and annual shutdowns.
Key responsibilities:
- To ensure that employees correctly operate and run the power plant to its optimal running capacity and efficiency.
- To ensure CEB exported energy is according to PPA and output to grid is maximised when permitted.
- To ensure AML company receives adequate electrical energy and low-pressure steam for optimised sugar production.
- To perform the necessary administrative tasks
- To prepare budget for all sub departments and to control expenses on daily basis to stay in line with budgeted costs and to report to the HOD when required.
- To manage water treatment for boilers.
- To manage the combustibles bagasse and coal.
- To ensure good quality of combustibles to boilers.
- To ensure regular maintenance of power generation plant and equipment in liaison with the specialised services of the company.
- To ensure proper solid and liquid effluents disposal.
Profile:
- Degree / BENG in Mechanical Engineering or any equivalent qualifications.
- A Master’s degree (MBA / Msc) will be an advantage.
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar position.
- Ability to interact with stakeholders in a professional manner.
