Merchandiser (2519-DMGR)

Our client is seeking to recruit a Merchandiser who will report to the Director.

Responsibilities:

Product Display & Organization:

• Ensure products are neatly and accurately shelved in line with brand and compliance guidelines.
• Maintain clean, clearly labeled displays for high-visibility products.

Inventory Management:

• Monitor stock levels and re-order as necessary.
• Track expiration dates and remove expired or soon-to-expire items.
• Ensure proper storage (e.g., temperature-sensitive items in fridges).

Compliance & Documentation:

• Maintain accurate inventory logs and batch numbers for traceability.

Quality Assurance:

• Regularly inspect packaging for damage or tampering.
• Confirm delivery accuracy.
• Coordinate with suppliers or manufacturers to return damaged or expired stock.

Reporting:

• Report customer interest, and product movement to management.
• Analyze and share feedback on slow or fast-moving products.
• Prepare restocking and rotation plans based on usage data.

Profile:

• At least 5+ years of experience in food distribution or logistics, preferably with fresh/perishable goods.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Certification in food safety (e.g., HACCP, ServSafe).
• Familiarity with sustainability practices in food distribution.
• Knowledge of cold chain logistics and food safety standards.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in inventory and logistics software (e.g., WMS, TMS).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.

Working Conditions:

• Work in temperature-controlled environments (cold storage).
• Early morning, evening, or weekend shifts may be required.
• Frequent travel between distribution centers and retail locations.
