Mechanical Engineer (Estimating)

To design and implement Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning projects.

Reporting to the Contracts Manager, the job incumbent will be mainly required to:

Key Responsibilities

Manage the site operations of HVAC contracting
Assist in the preparation of shop drawings
Perform design calculations for air-conditioning equipment installations
Follow-up on actions agreed upon during site meetings
Prepare and submit reports for mechanical works in air-conditioning
Follow-up on clients’ queries-operational and technical issues
Prepare quotations, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and claims
Supply equipment and sub contract services pertaining to mechanical works in air-conditioning
Prepare tender compliance sheets
Conduct site surveys and prepare material & labour breakdown
Conduct handing over meetings between tendering team, QS team and site teams
Attend tender negotiation meetings

Qualifications & Experience

Degree in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 5 years of experience acquired preferably in a contracting environment specialized in HVAC field
Fully conversant with HVAC shop drawings and construction drawings
