Our client in the investment advisory and fund management is seeking to recruit an experienced Manager - Business Development who will report to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategies to cultivate new opportunities with current and potential channel partners.
- Conduct client, prospect, industry, competitor, and market research/analysis to inform targeted business development efforts.
- Create and prioritize target introducer and client lists to fuel growth within the following segments: wealth management, pension fund, Turquoise Capital Investment, distribution of financial products.
- Prospect potential new clients and run sales cycles to generate new Asset Under Management (AUM) or subscription and research revenues.
- Design sales pitches for introducers and prospective clients.
- Achieving of the set sales targets.
- Provide feedback on new market trends and requests from the market and potential clients in order to drive sales and potential revenue streams.
- Develop a roadmap and a realistic revenue forecast.
- Effectively present the value of client’s products and services to potential clients.
- Investigate and understand the business objectives of potential clients in order to develop and demonstrate a solution tailored to their needs.
- Educate partners and prospect about client’s products and services.
- Conduct high-level discovery conversations and meetings with partners and prospective clients.
- Work cross-functionally in the Group across marketing, growth, direct sales, and relationship managers to drive new business opportunities and increase revenue generation.
- Attend conferences, networking events, and other partner meetings to meet with channel partners and build client’s brand in the market.
- Present a weekly reporting of commercial activities.
- Help in promoting the client brand by participating in thought leadership exercises and marketing initiatives.
- Interact regularly with various service providers, banks, government authorities to be kept abreast of latest updates.
- Work effectively with external business partners & stakeholders.
- Build and enhance relationships with key business introducers.
- Refer to affiliated companies structuring and compliance assignments on a case arising basis.
- Conduct any other cognate duties as assigned by the Managing Director.
Profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field;
- A minimum experience of 5 years in the wealth management, capital markets industry or selling a subscription-based model, included 2 years of business development experience.
- A track record of overachievement on goals or quotas.
- High degree of personal drive and motivation to succeed.
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills, and strong organizational skills.
- Fluent in English and French both written and spoken.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.
