                            The Landscape Maintenance Officer is responsible for organizing, supervising, and monitoring all landscape and site maintenance operations to ensure an environmentally friendly and visually appealing environment.
                         
                        - Assist in organizing, monitoring, and supervising all site and landscape maintenance operations to ensure an environmentally friendly landscape.
- Compile and schedule material requirements and Workforce Planning for landscape maintenance sites and coordinate requests with the Landscaping Manager.
- Manage and monitor irrigation systems to ensure they are functioning efficiently and remain in good working condition.
- Manage the inventory of materials and consumables required for maintenance sites and projects.
- Conduct regular site inspections and walkthroughs with the client and Landscaping Manager to assess work quality, identify areas for improvement, and ensure standards are consistently met.
- Ensure that all client requests and concerns are addressed promptly, effectively, and professionally.
- Perform specialized grounds maintenance tasks, including tree trimming, hedge pruning, shrub selection, irrigation maintenance, and the application of insecticides, herbicides, and fertilizers as required.
- Provide technical guidance on landscaping issues and develop coordinated plans to optimize the use of personnel, materials, equipment, and resources.
- Provide guidance on environmental conservation, define landscape requirements, and design and implement creative and sustainable landscaping solutions.
- Develop and implement plans to conserve and enhance all site landscapes, including trees and plants.
- Coordinate tree and plant planting initiatives and ensure proper execution.
- Conduct preliminary site assessments, including analysis of contours, soil, ecology, and access roads, to inform landscaping plans.
- Plan, schedule, assign, and supervise landscaping activities such as seeding, shrub care, weeding, cultivation, and general grounds maintenance.
- Oversee and support the maintenance of all site areas, including mulching, shrub pruning, and flowerbed weed and debris control.
- Prepare and coordinate cost estimates for landscaping projects as required.
- Manage administrative responsibilities, including approvals for overtime, leave requests, and related personnel matters.
- Support the implementation of health and safety risk management programs relevant to operations and the work environment.
- Report to the Health & Safety department as required and assist in the investigation of accidents and incidents.
- Ensure compliance with local health and safety legislation, regulations, and internal H&S policies and procedures.
Minimum education requirements
- At least two years of experience in Landscape or horticulture.
Minimum experience requirements
- Degree in Landscaping and/or any other alternate equivalent qualification.
