Location: Ebene, Mauritius

Employment Type:Full-time Position (Senior Level)

Main Duties:

• Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules for all equipment in all food outlets.
• Ensure all maintenance equipment and operational activities comply with health food safety standards.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance logs, service agreements and equipment.
• Lead and train maintenance staff to perform tasks safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular site visits and auditing of equipment to identify faults or upgrade if needed.
• Performs repairs on coffee machines, chillers, panini presses and cold rooms.
• Monitor cold storage systems to ensure food safety compliance.
• Outsource with concerned technicians for specific repairs & servicing as and when required.
• This list of duties is not exhaustive, and other responsibilities may be assigned as deemed necessary by the management.

Skills:

• Strong technical refrigeration and heating systems.
• Background and general know-how in plumbing and electrical.
• Experience in hospitality or retail environments is a plus.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making abilities.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Detail oriented.
• Good communicator & team player.
• Ability to work on extended hours to attend urgent maintenance needs.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Facilities management, Engineering, Mechanical or related field.
• Certifications in refrigeration, HVAC systems or electrical are an advantage.
• Minimum 4 -5 years of experience in maintenance roles ideally in the hospitality.
• Proficiency in MS Word, MS Excel.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Valid certificate of character.
