The Hotel Maintenance Coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating the day-to-day maintenance activities within the hotel premises.
Schedule and monitor all maintenance and repair work for hotel facilities, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry.
Coordinate preventive maintenance programs for rooms, common areas, and back-of-house facilities.
Ensure work orders are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Coordinate with external service providers and contractors for specialized maintenance work.
Supervise external maintenance works and ensure compliance with hotel standards.
Maintain logs and records of maintenance work and inspections.
Track inventory and order necessary supplies, spare parts, and equipment.
Prepare regular maintenance reports for management.
Ensure all maintenance work complies with health, safety, and building regulations.
Conduct regular inspections of hotel systems and infrastructure.
Assist in emergency response, including fire safety systems and backup power.
Work closely with the Maintenance team, Housekeeping, and Front Office.
Train and support maintenance staff on procedures and safety protocols.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Technical certification or diploma in building maintenance, engineering, or a related field preferred.
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a maintenance or engineering role in the hospitality industry.
Experience in coordinating and supervising maintenance tasks is a plus.
Strong knowledge of hotel systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire safety).
Proficient in using maintenance management software or computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve quickly.
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance.
Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physically fit and able to carry out minor maintenance tasks when necessary.
Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures.
