RRCL, a construction company situated in Sodnac, Quatre Bornes is looking for a dynamite MEP Coordinator to join its organisation.
Core Responsibilities as MEP Coordinator
- Design and Planning
- Review architectural and structural drawings to ensure integration of MEP systems
- Perform Load calculations for Electrical, and Plumbing systems
- Create detailed drawings, schematics, and specifications for all MEP components
- Identify potential clashes between systems and optimize designs.
- Project Management and Coordination
- Develop and manage project schedules and budget for MEP- related works
- Coordinate with subcontractors, supplier, and construction teams to ensure timely and high-quality installation.
- Conduct on-site inspections and supervise to ensure entire work is proceeding according to design specs and safety standards.
- Address and resolve any technical issues or conflicts that arise during the construction process.
- Compliance and Quality Control
- Ensure that all MEP Systems comply with local, national, and international building codes and regulations, and energy standards.
- Oversee the testing, commissioning, and handover of all systems.
- Prepare and maintain detailed documentation, including as built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals.
- Technical and Strategic Duties
- Select and specify appropriate materials, equipment, and technologies for the project
- Advise on energy-efficient and sustainable solutions
- Provide technical support and troubleshoot throughout the project lifecycle.
- Lead and mentor junior staff or a team of MEP Technicians.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Qualification: Degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering
- Experience: 2-5+ years
