MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. 
• Vigilant watching swimmers to prevent accidents and respond to emergencies.
• Supervise swimming activities at the aquatic center or pool and making sure that safety procedures, guidelines and policies are followed.
• Monitor the behavior and condition of participants, especially those with limited swimming abilities or medical conditions.
• Warning of unsafe activities and enforcing water safety policies and pool regulations or aquatic activities regulation.
• Verify the availability and condition of safety equipment, such as life vests, buoys, first aid kits, and rescue equipment.
• Providing first aid in the event of injury, rescuing swimmers in danger or distress and administering Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or artificial respiration, if necessary.
• Interact courteously with participants/Guests, providing assistance and information as needed
• Assessing conditions for safety and coming up with an action plan for aquatics emergency.
• Inspecting pool equipment, facilities and water to make sure they are usable and safe.
• Supervising and assisting in cleaning equipment and facilities.
• Conduct pool water test daily.
• Check equipment before opening of activities.
• Opening and closing the pool or aquatic activities each day, depending on schedule and hours.
• Organizing and overseeing pool event.
• Instructing or assisting classes in fundamentals of swimming.
• Resolving scheduling conflicts to make sure the pool environment is safe for competitions or any events.
• Closely monitoring activities related to the pool area, identifying any safety issues throughout shift.
• Directing swimmers out of water in dangerous conditions.
• Closely monitoring weather reports to make sure guests remain safe.
• Organizing and overseeing pool parties.
• Providing swim lessons and coaching swim team when applicable.
• Maintaining a clean pool environment.
• Every 30 minutes abide by rotation.
• Adhere to resort SOPs.
• Assist in any other tasks that may be assigned to ensure that all standards of the resort are met to enhance guest’s and team members satisfaction, safety and security in all fields.
• Coordinate and communicate to other departments for the smooth running of the operation.
• Attend all meetings assigned by your reporting line manager or management.
• Participate in training as and when requested by Management.
• Any other cognate duties may be assigned.
