Lab Chemist

We are seeking a meticulous and skilled Lab Chemist to join our team.

Duties and Responsibilities:

As a Lab Chemist, you will be responsible to:

1. Test all new raw materials before purchasing.

2. Carry out tests to ensure parameters meet standards for viscosity, density or other physical tests and record on job cards.

3.  Ensure all results obtained should be communicated to CEO, PM, Supply Chain and Procurement Dept.

4. Meet  with new suppliers, evaluate products and report.

5. Carry out tests to ensure parameters meet standards for viscosity, density or other physical tests and record on job cards.

6.  Maintain the calibration of Base paints to meet standards.

7. Adjust production to meet standard specifications.

8. Provide information to update or create labels and artwork for new or existing products. Verify labels and artwork after any changes.

9.  Maintain records of all tests done.

10. Ensure the safeguarding and proper maintenance of all laboratory equipment and tools.

11.  Design new products.

12. Tests to be carried out to improve quality and costs of products.

13. Correct & improve colorant database.

14. Ecolabel & MS3 for products

15. To assist internal & external auditors.

16. Train Laboratory personnel on laboratory procedures and test methods. Ensure that Rule and Regulations of the Department is strictly followed.

17. Maintain a clean and safe working environment in the Laboratory.

18. Investigation of Customer Complaints / Non-conforming Products.

19. Housekeeping of Lab

Qualifications:

BSc Chemistry / Chemical Engineer / Biochemistry

Skills Required:

1. Critical thinking ability to develop, design and validate new products.

2. Excellent written and oral communications.

3. Ability to solve complex problems.

4. Systematic and methodical approach to tasks

5. Competence in the planning, design and execution of research investigations of competitors products, this includes the selection of appropriate techniques to design new products or improve existing products that match competitors and market demands.

6. Meticulous and attention to details.
