The role of the Junior Data Analyst is to tap in data sources and generate actionable insights that drive growth at Cim Financial Services. The primary function is to work in collaboration with relevant stakeholders within the business to support them from both data and analytical perspectives

 

Job Purpose:

The role of the Junior Data Analyst is to tap in multiple data sources and to generate actionable insights that drive growth at Cim Financial Services. His/her primary function is to work in close collaboration with relevant stakeholders within the business to support them from both data and analytical perspectives. He/she shall contribute to the implementation of advanced analytical AI/ML models and business intelligence tools.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with stakeholders to understand their business drivers, challenges and analytics requirements
  • Develop scripts to extract relevant data to support analytical assignments
  • Thoroughly clean and prune data to ensure data integrity
  • Develop, deploy and automate dashboards showing key information and insights to the business
  • Identify risks and opportunities and generate recommended actions from data analysis, modelling and simulation
  • Creating and maintaining documentation that includes the design, requirements and user manuals
  • Drive data governance initiatives to enhance awareness on use of data
  • Develop, review, update and test analytical models, scorecards and codes
  • Assist in the implementation of scorecards and policy rules updates

Candidate profile:

  • Degree in Actuarial science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or related subjects
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in data/modelling or related fields is preferable
  • Ability to structure data to solve analytical problems
  • Knowledge of PowerBI
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, external data sources) and PowerPoint
  • Statistical and analytics tool experience for model building (R, Python)
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, listening and presentation skills
  • The ability to work both as a team and independently
