Overview of Responsibilities

  • To implement and maintain a good overall control system
  • Provide assurance on the well-maintained internal control
  • Close monitoring of the Group IC Guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with all internal and external audit requirements
Minimum Academic / Technical / Professional Qualifications
  • Minimum ACCA Level 2 / Bachelor of Business Administration
Past Experiences
  • At least a minimum of 5 years' experience in the compliance and internal control fields
Key Responsibilities
Transfers
  • Ensure that internal controls set in place are well maintained
  • Elaborate training to all departments for the implementation of a solid internal control system
  • Identify and set objectives for Process Owners and Business Process Owners
  • Ensure that the Group Internal Control Policy is being implemented and monitored
  • Strategic planning of the internal control system throughout the company
  • Communicate to management any deficiencies highlighted during internal control review
  • Implementation and monitoring of the Internal Control Score Card
  • Plan for mitigation of risks and implementation deadlines
  • Report to management on adequacies and inadequacies, including actions to be implemented
  • Follow up on inadequacies to close gaps and ensure regular maintenance of control points
  • Attend Audit Committee meetings with full audit reports
Filing
  • Ensure proper filing of all control documents
  • Maintain organized files for all stock takes, Operating Equipment, and FF&E records
  • Ensure that files are properly archived
PCIDSS
  • Ensure that PCIDSS procedures are respected at all times (Password Management / Confidential Documents)
  • Ensure proper filing and archiving of documents
Auto Control (FOCUS)
  • Assist in carrying out Auto Control on a quarterly basis
  • Ensure that Auto Controls are respected and adhered to by all
  • Assist in preparing/updating Policies & Procedures
Other Duties
  • Ensure that all Financial SOPs are adhered to
  • Ensure that all PMS and accounting software are well maintained and correctly set into parameters
  • Report for duty punctually wearing the correct uniform and name tag
  • Maintain a high standard of personal appearance and hygiene and adhere to the company and department appearance standards
  • Be computer literate
  • Be knowledgeable in Microsoft tools
  • Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments
  • Read and understand the company's Employee Handbook and adhere to the rules and regulations, particularly the policies and procedures relating to Fire, Hygiene, Health, and Safety
  • Comply with local legislation as required
