Responsible to oversee the hotel’s information technology infrastructure, ensuring smooth and secure operation of systems that support hotel management, guest services, and administrative functions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Systems Administration & Operations
- Oversee daily IT operations across the hotel.
- Maintain and support all critical systems such as Opera PMS, Micros POS, SunSystems, HR systems, and interfaces for booking engines.
- Ensure uptime and performance of network, Wi-Fi, servers, and endpoints.
- Monitor and maintain data backups, antivirus systems, and disaster recovery plans.
2. Network & Infrastructure Management
- Manage the hotel’s LAN/WAN, internet connectivity, and security firewalls.
- Oversee hardware and software inventory, asset management, and license compliance.
- Coordinate with vendors and service providers for IT support and maintenance.
3. Data Security & Compliance
- Implement and monitor cybersecurity measures and IT policies.
- Ensure data privacy and compliance with corporate IT standards and local regulations.
- Conduct periodic audits and system health checks.
4. User Support & Training
- Provide 1st and 2nd level technical support to all hotel departments.
- Organize IT training sessions for staff to promote digital literacy and security awareness.
- Manage helpdesk requests and track issue resolution.
5. Project Management
- Plan and execute IT projects such as system upgrades, new installations, or migrations.
- Coordinate with corporate IT teams for system integration and standardization.
- Support implementation of digital transformation initiatives (e.g., guest apps, smart room systems, cloud solutions).
6. Vendor & Budget Management
- Manage IT service contracts and vendor relationships.
- Prepare and monitor IT budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Evaluate and recommend new technology solutions aligned with hotel business needs.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of IT experience, including at least 2 years as IT Manager in a hospitality environment.
- Strong knowledge of Opera Cloud PMS, Micros POS, SunSystems, HRMS and networking technologies.
- Experience in Windows Server, Active Directory, and SQL database.
- Proven experience with data security, backups, and disaster recovery planning.
- Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and leadership skills.
