The Lux Collective is hiring for the position of IT ADMINISTRATOR at its Head Office based at Tribeca.
Reporting to the IT Manager, the incumbent will be responsible to:
- Serve as the main point of contact on all IT-related matters and resolve them on time.
- Implement network security as established by the IT Manager.
- Conduct the administration and maintenance of computer stations and software for the company.
- Ensure maintenance and troubleshooting of Point of Sales (POS) systems.
- Ensure that all TLC computers, laptops, file servers, Ethernet networks, network cabling, and other related equipment, devices and systems have been configured and maintained.
- Perform software and application development, installation, upgrades, and maintain sites and software licenses.
- Troubleshoot networks, systems, and applications to identify and fix malfunctions and other operational problems.
- Ensure that users are promptly informed about scheduled network maintenance and disruption of network availability.
Ensure network availability by investigating, recommending, and installing enhancements and operating procedures that optimise performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least Higher School Certificate or equivalent qualifications.
- Tertiary Education at Diploma or Degree level majoring in Computer Sciences or Information Technology or equivalent qualifications from a recognised institution.
PREVIOUS PERFORMANCE
- A minimum of 2 years of working experience, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- A minimum of 3 years of working experience in IT or LAN administration and implementation.

- Excellent understanding of the business environment.

- Advanced knowledge in networking and troubleshooting.
- Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, Cisco IP telephony system and security appliances will be an advantage.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and French languages.
- Willingness to work during odd hours on weekdays and weekends.
- A clean certificate of character is a must.
