Promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contribute to the hotels targets by providing and coordinating a rapid response to relevant employee requests, inquiries, needs and general staff welfare
- Maintain and update manual and computerised employee records, policies and procedures and other personnel matters.
- Be responsible for the daily HR administrative work and activities.
- Work closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
- Liaise with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety;
- Assisting with the Payroll Process
- Recruit staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates;
Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
Administer payroll and maintaining employee records; - Close monitoring & recording of all types of leaves
- Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures;
- Plan and deliver training, including inductions for new staff;
- Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
- Maintain proper records of staff.
- Follow up on all training activities of the company, liaising with training institutions and HRDC
- Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.
Profile:
- Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management.
- At least 3 years experience in a similar position in the HR Department preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written: English and French)
- Ability to think laterally, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
- Understanding of employment laws and employee relations issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proactive and teamwork skills
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficient in both English and French (Written and Spoken)
