Promote a professional and positive image to all of our guests and contribute to the hotels targets by providing and coordinating a rapid response to relevant employee requests, inquiries, needs and general staff welfare

 

 

  • Maintain and update manual and computerised employee records, policies and procedures and other personnel matters.
  • Be responsible for the daily HR administrative work and activities.
  • Work closely with departments, increasingly in a consultancy role, assisting line managers to understand and implement policies and procedures;
  • Liaise with a wide range of people involved in policy areas such as staff performance and health and safety;
  • Assisting with the Payroll Process
  • Recruit staff - this includes developing job descriptions and person specifications, preparing job adverts, checking application forms, short listing, interviewing and selecting candidates;
    Develop and implement policies on issues such as working conditions, performance management, equal opportunities, disciplinary procedures and absence management;
    Administer payroll and maintaining employee records;
  • Close monitoring & recording of all types of leaves
  • Deal with grievances and implement disciplinary procedures;
  • Plan and deliver training, including inductions for new staff;
  • Analyse training needs in conjunction with departmental managers.
  • Maintain proper records of staff.
  • Follow up on all training activities of the company, liaising with training institutions and HRDC
  • Perform any other cognate duties as may be assigned by Management.

Profile:

  • Degree / Diploma in Human Resources Management.
  • At least 3 years experience in a similar position in the HR Department preferably in the Hospitality Industry.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written: English and French)
  • Ability to think laterally, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality.
  • Understanding of employment laws and employee relations issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proactive and teamwork skills
  • Proficient in MS Office
  • Proficient in both English and French (Written and Spoken)
