Our client in the import and distribution sector is seeking to recruit an experienced and dynamic Finance Manager who will report to the Head of Finance and General Manager (Cluster).
This is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing all financial operations, ensuring compliance with corporate policies, local regulations, and supporting the achievement of our business objectives.
Responsibilities:
Leadership & Strategy:
- Lead and coordinate the finance function, ensuring alignment with the company's mission, vision, and business goals.
- Communicate and implement the finance action plan in line with the wider corporate strategy.
- Motivate and guide the finance team to achieve excellence in financial management.
Financial Management & Control:
- Oversee general accounting, cost management, payroll, and budgeting processes.
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, both internally and externally, in compliance with regulatory bodies.
- Manage tax and statutory obligations, including MRA tax returns and MNS contributions.
- Lead the budgeting process and conduct complex financial analysis to support decision-making.
Governance & Compliance:
- Develop and implement financial guidelines and protocols, ensuring strict adherence to local laws, company policies, and sound financial practices.
- Ensure strong internal controls are in place and regularly reviewed.
Performance & Reporting:
- Monitor financial performance, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.
- Supervise, coach, and develop the finance team to deliver high-quality outcomes and support their professional growth.
Profile:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, ACCA, or related field.
- Financial Management: 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, or a similar role.
- Managerial: Minimum of 3 years of experience in leading teams and managing resources.
- Proficiency in Pastel Accounting Software.
- Experience with MRA Tax Filing and MNS Contribution Reporting.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
- High attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
- Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work within tight deadlines.
- Solid understanding of local tax and statutory compliance.
