EXECUTIVE SOUS CHEF - BEACHCOMBER CATERING

Beachcomber Catering is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Executive Sous Chef to join our catering operations team.

 

Main responsibilities:

 •Provide assistance to the Executive Chef for the kitchen operations.

 •Apply cost effective processes and ensure adherence to quality standards.

 •Perform culinary checks of food preparation and monitor processes involved to ensure consistency in quality (taste, texture, and visual etc.).

 •Organize orders and control requisitions to ensure adequate provisions for needs in a timely manner.

 •Ensure proper storage of fresh products and other food items.

 •Share skills techniques to Team members, provide them with training and follow their progress through regular assessment.

 •Ensure that clean as you go practices are duly observed

 

Qualifications and profile:

 •A minimum of 5 years’ experience in Chef position, (Previous experience in catering is a plus.

 •Proficient is Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

 •Excellent organizational and communication skills.

 •Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

 •Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

 •Be prepared to work on a flexible roster of 6/1 including evening shifts, Sundays, Public Holidays and Cyclonic days.
