The successful candidate will be responsible for:

Main Responsibilities:
 
To perform all such duties and exercise all such powers in relation to the business of the company as may from time to time be vested in or assigned to you by the company with the main function(s) of your job as follows, but not limited to:

• To manage and control the financial reporting function within the Company’s for the Securities Silo.
• To assist the Manager with strategic tasks, and ad hoc projects.
• The person will also have responsibility for the preparation and submission of statutory and management accounts, budgets and forecasts, daily financial reports, and ALCO reports within the agreed time frames.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS

• Financial reporting in accordance with IFRS and industry best practice, to ensure timeous accurate and reliable financial information.
• The design, implementation and enforcement of appropriate internal controls to manage financial, credit, interest, and forex risk.
• Financial reporting to shareholders, directors, regulators and any other authorized parties on an appropriate and regular basis.
• Management of relevant tax issues to comply with all legal requirements in the best possible manner.
• Management of budgetary and forecasting processes and analysis of variances thereto.
• Management of auditing functions including statutory audits.
• Management of Securities finances on daily basis, including liaison with outsourced administration and registry teams.
• The design, implementation and enforcement of appropriate financial internal controls to manage Securities companies.
• To comply with Company policies, regulations and rules.
• Improving levels of service to staff and customers and enhancing internal operational efficiencies.
• Ensure sufficient and suitable training of all pertinent areas of the business.
• Suitable and adequate documentation of all work performed.
• Ad-hoc projects as may be required from you by management from time to time.

Qualifications:

• CA or ACCA, first time pass
• 2 or 3 years post qualification experience
