Our client is seeking a dedicated Compliance Officer / Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) to ensure the company complies with all regulatory requirements and maintains strong AML/CFT controls.
The role involves monitoring compliance, managing risk, providing guidance to management, and liaising with regulators.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure company policies and procedures comply with the regulatory framework and AML/CFT laws.
Conduct regular reviews of policies, procedures, client risk assessments, and service providers.
Perform due diligence on clients and service providers; maintain proper documentation.
Investigate suspicious transactions and report as required by law.
Provide AML/CFT training to staff and board members.
Advise management on money laundering, terrorist financing, and fraud risks, and recommend mitigation measures.
Keep the Board informed of all internal and external compliance reports filed.
Stay updated on regulatory changes and liaise with regulators.
Review regulatory/audit reports and follow up on remedial actions.
Support regulators and auditors during inspections and site visits.
Conduct ad-hoc compliance reviews and investigations as needed.
Requirements:
Proven experience in Compliance, AML/CFT, or related regulatory roles.
Strong knowledge of local and international AML/CFT laws and regulations.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work independently and advise senior management effectively.
Preferred:
Previous experience as MLRO in a corporate or financial services environment.
Professional certifications in compliance, AML, or risk management.
