Cleaner / Helper - Cernol Ltd

Cernol Ltd is looking for a dependable and hardworking Cleaner / Helper to maintain cleanliness and assist with general support tasks within our retail store.

Reporting to the Shop Supervisor, the ideal candidate will ensure that the store environment is clean, safe, and welcoming for both customers and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

Cleaning Duties

• Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors regularly.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces, shelves, counters, and fitting rooms.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, staff areas, and entryways.
• Empty trash bins and dispose of waste in accordance with store policies.
• Refill cleaning and hygiene supplies as needed.

General Support

• Assist with unpacking and organizing stock.
• Help with basic stock arrangement and store presentation.
• Provide support to sales staff during busy periods when necessary.
• Ensure trolleys, baskets, and other customer tools are clean and available.

Health & Safety

• Follow all safety procedures and use cleaning equipment correctly.
• SReport any maintenance issues, hazards, or damaged fixtures to the Shop Supervisor.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Prior experience in a similar role is an advantage but not required
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Physically fit and capable of performing manual tasks
• Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
• Basic understanding of hygiene and safety standards
