Shop Supervisor - Cernol Ltd

Cernol Ltd is seeking a proactive and responsible Shop Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of its retail store, ensure excellent customer service, and lead the shop team effectively. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, retail experience, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership & Staff Management

• Supervise and support sales assistants, cashiers, and helpers.
• Assign daily tasks and ensure they are carried out efficiently.
• Motivate the team to meet sales targets and maintain high service standards.
• Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
• Monitor staff attendance, discipline, and adherence to policies.

Customer Service

• Ensure excellent customer service is consistently delivered.
• Handle escalated customer queries or complaints professionally.
• Foster a welcoming and positive shopping environment.

Sales & Store Operations

• Assist in achieving sales targets through effective team coordination.
• Oversee merchandising, display arrangements, and stock rotation.
• Monitor inventory levels, coordinate with Store Department, and ensure stock availability.
• Conduct daily cash reconciliations and ensure all POS procedures are followed.
• Assist in opening and closing procedures.

Cleanliness & Compliance

• Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards are maintained.
• Monitor compliance with policies, company procedures, and health & safety regulations.
• Report any maintenance or security issues promptly.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Minimum HSC or equivalent; a diploma in retail/business is an advantage.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in a retail environment, with supervisory experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of retail operations, sales techniques, and customer service.
• Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in using POS systems and basic MS Office
