We are seeking a passionate and creative Chef/Baker to join our team.
This role is ideal for someone who loves crafting fresh, elegant baked goods and small savory plates in a fast-paced, high-end coffee shop environment.
The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in both baking and culinary arts, with a commitment to quality, presentation, and consistency.
Prepare and bake a variety of artisanal pastries, breads, and desserts daily, including sourdough breads, brioche rolls, cakes and pattiserie
Maintain high standards of food quality, hygiene, and presentation.
Assist head chef to oversee inventory and ordering of baking supplies and ingredients.
Ensure all food is stored and prepared according to health and safety regulations.
Work closely with baristas and front-of-house staff to align food offerings with coffee pairings and customer preferences.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and baking stations.
Train and mentor junior kitchen staff.
Experience in a bakery or restaurant environment, preferably high-end or boutique.
Strong understanding of classic and modern baking techniques.
Excellent time management and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and a passion for aesthetic food presentation.
Ability to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Familiarity with kitchen equipment and food safety protocols.
