The Assistant Public Area Manager supports the Public Area Manager in overseeing the cleanliness, maintenance, and presentation of all hotel public areas. The role ensures high standards of hygiene, safety, and aesthetics are consistently maintained in line with hotel brand standards.
What you’ll do:
•Assist in supervising daily public area cleaning operations and staff scheduling
•Ensure cleanliness and upkeep of all public areas, including lobbies, corridors, restrooms, offices, and BOH areas
•Conduct regular inspections and ensure corrective actions are implemented
•Coordinate with maintenance team for maintenance issues and follow up on completion
•Support deep-cleaning programs and special cleaning projects
•Assist in training and supervising public area attendants and supervisors
•Ensure proper use, storage, and inventory of cleaning equipment and chemicals
•Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and environmental standards
•Monitor guest feedback related to public areas and take corrective actions
•Assist with cost control, chemical usage, and inventory management
•Support banquet, conference, and event setups and post-event cleaning
•Maintain records, reports, and cleaning schedules
•Handle lost and found items in public areas as per hotel policy
•Act in the absence of the Public Area Manager when required
What We’re Looking For:
•HSC or Vocational Certificate
•Previous experience in public area or housekeeping operations
•Strong organizational and supervisory skills
•Good knowledge of cleaning standards, equipment, and chemicals
•Ability to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
