We are looking for an Assistant Front Office Executive to join our team in Veranda Tamarin!
Overview of the Role π
Support the Front Office Executive in managing daily front office operations and act as Duty Manager on a rotational basis to ensure smooth service and guest satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities π
β’ Assist the Front Office Executive in recruiting, appraising, and developing Front Office team members.
β’ Conduct on-the-job training and support succession planning to maintain performance standards.
β’ Recommend promotions and personnel actions; collaborate with HR to implement departmental training plans.
β’ Motivate, supervise, and evaluate the Front Office team to ensure high standards of service delivery.
β’ Handle guest complaints and ensure prompt follow-up actions; welcome VIPs and support guest relationship initiatives.
β’ Coordinate daily departmental activities to ensure smooth operations and high guest satisfaction.
β’ Develop and maintain effective employee relations and monitor team performance, punctuality, and attendance.
β’ Prepare and manage the Front Office duty roster, ensuring legal compliance and full coverage.
β’ Monitor annual leave planning and control absenteeism through corrective measures.
β’ Participate in the preparation and monthly follow-up of departmental budgets and forecasts (CAPEX & OPEX).
β’ Monitor and control inventories of Front Office equipment and supplies.
β’ Plan room allocations in coordination with the Central Reservations Office (CRO) and adjust as necessary.
β’ Ensure SOPs, quality procedures, and hygiene standards are followed across all Front Office areas.
β’ Regularly inspect team grooming, guest arrival/departure processes, and billing accuracy.
β’ Uphold all safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards in line with health and safety regulations.
β’ Comply with all the sustainability commitments and practices implemented within business units.
β’ Notify the Sustainable Development Department of any matters that may pose any impact to the environment and society.
Ideal Candidate Profile π―
β’ Diploma or Degree in Hospitality or Front Office Operations.
β’ Minimum 5 yearsβ experience in hotel Front Office, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
β’ Proficient in hotel systems (e.g. Opera, WINHMS) and Microsoft Office.
β’ Fluent in English and French; a third language is an advantage.
β’ Strong leadership, guest service, and complaint-handling skills.
β’ Knowledge of scheduling, budgeting, and team performance management.
