This position is mainly for intercompany accounting, responsible for reconciling intercompany transactions across multiple entities. The assistant accountant will also support month-end close activities along with other Reporting and Ad hoc duties.
Essential Functions |
Responsibilities | - Oversee the end-to-end accounting of intercompany loans, including initial recognition, interest accruals, repayments and non-cash transactions.
- Review and post journal entries weekly and monthly for intercompany transactions.
- Ensure that all loan transactions are accurately recorded in company books.
- Collaborate with Treasury, Account Payable team on intercompany transactions.
- Prepare monthly intercompany loan reconciliation, provide analysis on variances and delivery of timely monthly intercompany loan reconciliation.
- Ensure procedures and controls are in place and are adhered to.
- Participate in the system development and testing.
- Draft status report for respective stakeholders.
- Other accounting, administrative related duties and audit as and when required.

Qualifications & Experience |
Essential Qualifications - Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
- ACCA level 1 or partly qualified
- At least 1 year of experience in an accounting role.
Knowledge and Experience - Proven experience in working in a computerised accounting environment.

- Ability to work autonomously, take initiatives and be proactive
- Time management skills
- Good IT knowledge & advanced skills in Microsoft office
- Proficiency in using Accounting Software.
