Azure Outsourcing Services is currently seeking for a dedicated Assistant Accountant.
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assistant Accountant to support our finance department in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for someone who has a strong grasp of accounting principles and a desire to grow in the field.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist with daily accounting operations including data entry, journal entries, reconciliations, and general bookkeeping (Bank reconciliation, prepare monthly provision of accrued expenses, depreciation, prepayments, interco reconciliation).
- Manage A/C Receivables & A/C Payables, including payment to suppliers and reconciling supplier’s statement of account.
- Handle bank cash and cheques regularly and update Fixed Asset Register.
- Prepare and maintain financial records, reports, and ledgers, including monthly management accounts, budget performance reports, and explain variances between actual and budget.
- Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement transactions to ensure accuracy, sufficient documentation, proper support, and record correct entries as required.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, month-end and year-end close processes, tax filings (VAT, TDS, APS, FY Returns), audits, and financial statements.
- Monitor accounts payable and receivable, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure proper filing of financial records.
- Provide support for budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities.
- Contribute to the implementation and improvement of systems and processes.
- Provide administrative support when required and assist external auditors during the audit process.
- Perform any other cognate duties.
Qualifications and Skills
- HSC or Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Experience in French and English accounting.
- Fluent in French and English (written and spoken).
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Familiarity with accounting software, ERP systems, and Microsoft Excel.
- A proactive mindset and willingness to learn.
- Experience in ERP migration and support is an advantage.
