Accounting – Project Executive (Outsourcing)

The candidate will primarily provide project management and administration services for a key client as part of a dedicated engagement team. Around a third of their time will be allocated to compilation of service charge accounts across all clients.

 

Job Overview

  • Work closely with the dedicated client engagement team to deliver the project, reporting into the senior project executive.
  • Carry out routine communications with the client by IT solution and email, delivering a high quality service.
  • Work with compilation Manager to compile service charge accounts across all clients, managing the process using a web-enabled IT solution.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with web-based portal set up and task administration for the client eg inputting templates, creating individual property records, generating tasks.
  • Monitor portal tasks on a daily basis, escalating to the senior project executive where necessary.
  • Monitor client inbox and respond to basic client queries eg password resets.
  • Reconcile client data with BDO data on a regular basis and investigate any reconciling items eg monthly user reviews.
  • General administrative assistance to the dedicated client team, including document management, preparing standard reports from agreed templates.
  • Monitor individual pieces of work to ensure timely completion and that established KPIs are met.
  • Collate information required for the compilation of service charge accounts.
  • Prepare service charge accounts by extracting data from web-based portal using specified software.
  • Provide a high quality service level to the BDO UK team and all clients.
Technical Knowledge and Professional Qualifications
  • Minimum HSC with Accounting as Main Subject
  • Higher Qualifications would be an advantage
  • Excellent organisation and administration skills to manage and prioritise multiple tasks and large projects.
  • Excellent written and spoken English, including spelling and grammar.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent writing and numeracy skills.
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and Word. Some knowledge of Crystal is desirable, but not essential.
  • Good level of accountancy knowledge eg accruals and prepayments, although no formal accountancy qualification is required.
  • Good understanding of the service charge process would be an advantage
