Our client, Mont Choisy Golf Limitée, is looking for an Accountant.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day management of the accounting department of the company.

Main responsibilities:

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts including the balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports from system and closure of system;
  • Preparation of the financial statements in line with IFRS and IAS;
  • Prepare, examine, and analyze accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards;
  • Review Monthly Profit & Loss items and investigate on variances and wrong postings;
  • Bank reconciliations to be done on a weekly basis;
  • Daily reconciliations of some special GL accounts, controls check and monitoring, posting of journal entries and cash desk checks and controls.
  • Run the monthly close of the accounts and meet the deadline in place;
  • Monthly preparation of the VAT return;
  • Monthly reconciliation of turnover to vat returns;
  • Intercompany accounts reconciliation on a weekly basis;
  • Develop, implement, modify, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology;
  • Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel, and direct their work activities;
  • Analyze business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses;
  • Initiate payments by verifying documentation, and requesting disbursements;
  • Reports to the General Manager and/or CFO on a daily basis and discuss issues which need attention.

Food and Beverage and Retail Shop Controls

  • Provide analysis of F&B stores and retail shop consumption to handle the ordering of Food and Beverage and retail shop stocks as accurately as possible.
  • Analyze all food and beverage costs on a monthly basis and making recommendation of alternatives on cost savings
  • Maintain the food and beverage costs updated on a daily basis
  • Establish and maintain a database for food and beverage and retail shop inventory stock including up-to-date pricing
  • Coordinate, attend and monitor all food and beverage and retail shop physical inventories to ensure accuracy
  • Ensure proper storage and issuance of all food and beverage items and retail shop items
  • Establish and maintain a cost allocation transfer system for food and beverage supplies to the various departments
  • Assist management in menu costing in order to establish menu item sale prices
  • Carry out spot-checks on the restaurant stores and retail shop rotating stock-takes.
  • Approve all store requisitions
  • Account and monitor for any stock transfer (from restaurant to bar, to events, and retail shop)

Other Compliance Matters

  • Liaise with external auditors, internal auditor, company secretaries, government authorities, MRA, so that the company is in line with legal and regulatory compliance.
  • Any other duties assigned by the General Manager and/or CFO.


  • ACCA fully qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or auditing.
  • At least 3 years’ experience in auditing or accounting with sound knowledge of IFRS.
